PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The first four days of July are off to a record-hot start, and several daily temperature records could fall in the next few days.

On Friday, Phoenix officially hit 118° degrees at Sky Harbor airport, breaking the day's all-time record of 116 in 1983.

In the graphic below, notice that we are also getting close to Saturday's high-temperature record of 116, set in 1942.

Friday's high wasn't the only record broken. The day's warmest low temperature on record for Friday (July 5) was 91. On Friday morning, the low only dropped to 93.

If you are not tired of the record talk, here is one more for you.

Phoenix is off to the hottest start to July on record. Granted, it's only four days of data, but it's interesting that July is starting at a record pace after we just finished a record-setting June.
