June is National Homeownership Month
June marked National Homeownership Month, a time when Realtors, members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), raise awareness about the benefits of homeownership and the critical need to make it more accessible for all Americans.
Realtors actively engage with policymakers and regulators at all levels to advocate for a consumer-friendly real estate industry, which is crucial for the growth of both national and local economies.
Their efforts include working with legislators on issues related to housing affordability, access to homeownership, fair housing, property owner protections and advancements in both commercial and residential markets.
The mission of the Reading-Berks Association of Realtors (R-BAR) is "to promote a high standard of professionalism, advocate for private property rights, and improve the quality of life in our communities."
R-BAR members are committed to making homeownership attainable for everyone in our community, not only during National Homeownership Month but throughout the entire year.
From meetings in Washington, D.C., and Harrisburg to supporting local organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Neighborhood Housing Services, R-BAR Realtors strive to ensure homeownership is within everyone's reach.
By assisting consumers through the homeownership process, offering essential support and serving as trusted advisors during one of life's most significant financial decisions, REALTORS help ensure that every family can enjoy the benefits of owning a home. These benefits include building generational wealth and creating lasting memories.
