JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Three score in double figures to lead Wicksburg girls victory
Gracie Driskell had 17 points, Chloe Wallace 13 and Taylor Shoupe 10 to lead Wicksburg junior high girls to a 46-28 win over Geneva County on Thursday night.
Amariah Key had eight points and Mary Michael Miller seven to lead Geneva County.
Geneva 33, Slocomb 24: Sophie Gilmore had a game-high nine points and Delaney Ellenburg and Lylla King had six points each to lead Geneva.
Quinn Bennett had eight points and Callie Seay had seven points to lead Slocomb.
Opp 27, Straughn 25: Cambri Bentley had 16 points and Saniyah Stephens five points to lead Opp.
Jayla Bell had 10 rebounds, Samanthan Robertson seven rebounds and four block shots and Miracle Clarke had six rebounds for Opp.
G.W. Long 37, D.A. Smith 26: Kyrie McLeod had 10 points, Zyan Marshall nine and Jacob Pruiett seven to lead G.W. Long over D.A. Smith of Ozark.
Rehobeth 37, Headland 24: MJ Hardrick had 13 points to lead Rehobeth.
Jamyan Faulk led Headland with seven points.
Kinston 44, Pleasant Home 25: JD Hart had a game-high 28 points to lead Kinston, which finished its junior high school season with an 11-1 record.
Cody Wilson added seven points for the Bulldogs.
Trenton Bevis had nine points and Rudley Bryan had five to lead Pleasant Home.
Opp 8th grade boys 47, Straughn 33: Travis Collins had 14 points and Anthony Morrow had a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead Opp.
Prince Bacon followed with 10 points and seven rebounds and Bryson Barfoot had five points and five rebounds.
Straughn 7th grade boys 31, Opp 7: Kason Richburg had five points to lead Opp. Tywon Edwards had five rebounds and Amari Wilkerson had four rebounds.
