Justin Fields makes Pittsburgh Steelers history in loss to Colts

J.Wright23 min ago
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Justin Fields put up a flashy stat line in the Steelers' loss to the Indianapolis Colts. After falling behind by as much as 17, Fields had to put the team on his back, and he did, almost leading Pittsburgh to a stunning comeback win.

Instead, Fields and the Steelers fell just short, but in his efforts, Fields accomplished something that no other Steelers quarterback had ever done. After throwing for 312 yards, rushing for 57 yards, and adding two touchdowns on the ground, Fields is the only quarterback in Steelers history to have over 300 passing yards , over 50 rushing yards, and two or more total touchdowns in franchise history.

  • BETTING:
  • Fields did something that Ben Roethlisberger and Terry Bradshaw never did , and the most likely candidate who could have done something like Fields would have been Kordell Stewart, but even he fell short of that.

Still, he fumbled the ball in a critical play that took points off the board for the Steelers. Fields has to clean up those plays in his game, but he did a valiant job of trying to will the Steelers back into the game. Now, it remains to be seen if the Steelers can ultimately capitalize on Fields' surprising hot start to the season.
