Juvenile transported to hospital after being struck by vehicle in Vernon

A juvenile on a bicycle was hit by a car in Vernon on Sunday.
The crash was reported just after 7 p.m. in the area of 88 West St. where emergency crews responded and found the bicyclist on the ground, according to Lt. Robert Marra of the Vernon Police Department .
Marra said the juvenile suffered minor injuries and was taken in an ambulance to the Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation, according to Marra.
The crash remains under investigation. Marra said no charges have been filed.
