Juvenile victim killed, two other victims injured in separate Fort Worth shooting calls
A juvenile victim was fatally shot by another child on Tuesday night, Nov. 5, in what was reported to Fort Worth police as an accidental shooting.
Officers were called about 9:10 p.m. to a house in the 3500 block of Avenue L and found the male victim, a police spokesperson said.
The victim's name and age have not been released. He will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office.
Homicide detectives are investigating the killing.
Police investigated a separate shots-fired call about 8:35 p.m. near the intersection of East Bluff and North Hampton streets, northeast of downtown Fort Worth. A 911 caller reported that a man with a rifle was firing shots in the area.
Investigators determined that a man assaulted two female victims, fired a gun and then left the scene, police said. It's unclear whether anyone was shot, but one victim was transported to a hospital with injuries and the other was treated by medics at the scene, the spokesperson said. Both victims are expected to survive.
