Colorado is coming into the game against Kansas State on the back of a three-game winning streak. On top of that, the Buffaloes haven't lost at home this season.

A major reason for Colorado's success this season has, of course, come down to the play of Travis Hunter. A two-way sensation, Hunter has NFL talent at both wide receiver and defensive back. With that, he has unsurprisingly become a contender to win the Heisman Trophy this season.

While Colorado has had talented players under Deion Sanders , the Buffaloes haven't found consistent success until recently. That's part of the rebuild that the program has been undergoing.

"I feel like we're trending in the right direction. I feel like you guys are seeing the fruit of a lot of hard work, a lot of dedication, great hires. Great, I don't want to say acquisitions — that's almost like we're in the pros, but when you're dealing with money and stuff like that with NIL, you pretty much are — but bringing the right guys in with the right attitudes, the right work ethic. I love where we are as a program. I really do," Sanders said .

"Could we be better? Of course. I think everyone can. But I know we're trending in the right direction."

For its part, Kansas State is talented both at the skill positions and along the line of scrimmage. Even with a frustrating conference loss to this season, many are expecting Kansas State to be at the top of the standings once the season comes to an end.

Before Kansas State can make a championship run, though, they'll need to make their way through a very talented Colorado team.
