E.Wright2 hr ago

The Kenosha Community Foundation has awarded 24 grants totaling more than $75,000 to nonprofit organizations and projects that serve Kenosha County residents.

The grants are from five of its Field of Interest endowment funds: ANVK Field of Interest Endowment, Kenosha Arts Fund, LaFave Family Fund, the OMC Legacy Fund and the Women's Fund.

"Each year, grants from the foundation's Field of Interest funds support a diverse set of programs and initiatives that serve critical needs, spur innovation and/or improve the health of our community," said KCF Executive Director Amy Greil. "On behalf of our board and staff, we are thrilled to approve another round of grants.

"It was a special opportunity this year to review three grant applications to the new ANVK Field of Interest Fund that directs grant support to serve seniors, those with disabilities, and homebound individuals," she said.

She highlighted Kenosha YMCA, which recently began a KCF organizational endowment and has since been awarded grants from three distinct fields to support a range of programs spanning safety (Safety Around Water), education (Frank Elementary Achievers Program) and health/nutrition (Feeding Families) projects.
