TAYLOR MILL, Ky. (WXIX) - Over 2,000 residents in Taylor Mill lost power on Tuesday due to a fallen tree on a power line, according to Duke Energy.

Scott High School, a polling location in Northern Kentucky, is in the affected area, however, they have not lost power, Kenton County Clerk Gabrielle Summe told FOX19 NOW.

Summe says she has not received any reports about a power outage affecting any of the county's polling places but says all of the equipment has four-hour backup batteries on them. If the power does go out, people will still be able to vote.

If a power outage lasts more than four hours, Summe says the county has pre-printed ballots and a locked drop box for voters.

She adds that if there is a power outage, all locations in Kenton County allow any voter to move to a poll with power to make the voting process easier.

Duke Energy crews are in Taylor Mill now.
