Kim Mulkey provides update on Angel Reese after Texas Southern win
LSU continued their winning ways on the court, taking down Texas Southern at the PMAC on Monday. It’s their fifth consecutive victory after beginning the season with a loss. However, the biggest story surrounding the program continues to be the status of Angel Reese.
Reese was not present during pregame warmups and was not in uniform on Monday night. Head coach Kim Mulkey was asked about her status with the Cayman Islands Classic next on the scheduling, beginning with a game vs. Niagra on Black Friday.
Mulkey was not too keen on giving out information during her postgame press conference.
“If I have, I wouldn’t tell you,” Mulkey said . “You’re not entitled to that information. So, I’ll say it again. Angel was not in uniform tonight. Angel is a part of this basketball team. Angel will be back sooner rather than later.”
When asked if Reese had been practicing with the team Mulkey responded “I have given you my answer.”
