WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - The Northeast Louisiana Celtic Festival happened on Saturday, October 5 at Lazarre Park.

The festival celebrates the Celtic and Irish heritage and traditions. People traveled as far as Ireland to enjoy live performances, Highland games, food, and more.

"People do travel from outside of the area to attend the festival and that means more hotel room stays, and more people eating at our restaurants. It's very important to keep the tradition of this festival alive," says Adrienne LaFrance-Wells, City of West Monroe Mainstreet Director.

For information on next year's festival visit the Northeast Lousiana Celtic Festival Facebook page.
