Kit Kat Launches Festive New Santa Treat, the Brand’s First Seasonal Shape

It's a Kit Kat Christmas!

The popular candy brand launched its holiday-themed treat on Monday, Nov. 18 — a Kit Kat shaped like Santa Claus. This marks the brand's first deviation from its tried-and-true bar shape.

The Kit Kat Santa has little boots with "Kit Kat" written on the soles, as well as a hat, belt, mittens and of course, a smiling face and fluffy mustache. The new addition contains an "even crispier wafer-to-chocolate ratio" than the classic version, a press release from Hershey states.

To celebrate the launch, Kit Kat will partner with Simon Properties to provide their twist on the traditional Santa visit at the mall.

"Each holiday season, holiday-goers wait in long lines to meet Santa, only to receive a less than exciting reward from him in return: peppermint," the press release reads. "Not anymore."

As a reward for being on the Nice List, those visiting Santa at select Simon properties will get a free Kit Kat Santa. The locations include Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, N.Y.; Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Ill.; and Brea Mall in Brea, Calif.

Scott Sorensen, associate manager at Kit Kat, said the new Kit Kat Santa shape may give fans "a taste of more of what's to come from the brand."

The new seasonal treat is now available in 8.85-ounce bags, and is available for a limited time only.
