Kobe Bryant’s Widow Vanessa Bryant Makes Nike Announcement
Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, took to her Instagram Stories to remind fans of what's happening on Thursday, October 17.
While it's just a normal day overall, with the NBA still in its preseason, it is poised to be a big one for sneakerheads as well as Lakers and Kobe fans. After all, Nike will be releasing the Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" colorway on the day.
Vanessa Bryant posted a photo of her wearing the unreleased shoes that feature an X-Ray design inspired by Kobe Bryant's 2010 "legendary "Broken Not Beaten" shirt.
She captioned her post with, "Dropping tomorrow" along with blue heart and Jack-o'-lantern emojis.
For what it's worth, Vanessa Bryant had already teased about the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" colorway earlier in the month. On Instagram, she shared several detailed images of the shoes along with its release information.
"Inspired by the iconic Kobe T-Shirt that originally dropped in 2010 and the Haunted Houses we used to go to around Halloween, this Kobe V launches 10.17," Vanessa Bryant wrote in her post.
Sure enough, with the Halloween coming up, the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "X-Ray" shoes could very well be the perfect pair to pick up. The shoes will drop at 10:00 a.m. EST.
