Lake Catholic vs. Field football: Cougars handle Falcons to reach Division IV regional semis

CLEVELAND, Ohio - No. 1 Lake Catholic defeated No. 9 Field, 35-3, in a Division IV, Region 13 quarterfinal at Lake Catholic High School Stadium on Friday.

Lake Catholic quarterback Frankie Trinetti threw three touchdown passes to lead the Cougars.

Lake Catholic (12-0) will play No. 4 West Branch or No. 5 Glenville in a regional semifinal game at a site to be determined on Nov. 15.

In the first quarter, Trinetti threw a 11-yard touchdown to Tyler Hribar and 25-yard touchdown to Patrick Radigan.

In the second quarter, George Csepegi added a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Trinetti threw his third touchdown pass 30 yards to Caden Boyes with under two minutes left in the half.

Field had 39-yard field goal just before the half to cut Lake Catholic lead to 28-3.

Radigan blocked a punt in the third quarter that set up Jimmy Gibbons 7-yard touchdown run.

Field's season ends with 9-3 record.
