TOWN OF LYONS — This month, a bucket of pink popcorn at an area movie theater will help support those fighting breast cancer.

In celebration of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Emagine Geneva Lakes will be serving pink popcorn.

The theater is located at 2565 Highway 120, town of Lyons.

A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be given to Shades of Pink Foundation.

"Offering pink popcorn is certainly fun for our guests, but the meaning behind it is powerful," said Emagine Entertainment CEO Anthony LaVerde.

According to a statement from Emagine, Shades of Pink is a Michigan-based group which helps reduce the financial stress for those undergoing breast cancer treatments in Southeast Michigan.

The foundation provides prompt funding for the daily living expenses of breast cancer patients. Such expenses include payments for rent and insurance, plus transportation costs, child care and other necessities.

Emagine Geneva Lakes is the only Wisconsin theater owned and operated by Emagine Entertainment, which also has theaters in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Michigan.

The pink popcorn offer is only at Emagine Geneva Lakes and Emagine theaters in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

Offer ends Oct. 31.
