Lakewood’s hot hand starts with a pair of guards: 2024-25 boys basketball preseason tour

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Friends since their early elementary school years, Lakewood senior guards Luke Vannucci and Lucas Seguine find themselves back at the controls of a boys basketball team that took a major step last season with 17 wins.

Both guards leads an undersized, yet versatile, team that looks to build off that performance with Seguine at the point and Vannucci established as one of Northeast Ohio's best shooters. Vannucci also is on pace to reach 1,000 career points this season as Lakewood transitions from the Great Lakes Conference to the Cleveland West Conference.
