Lancaster County colleges see mixed improvement, decline in annual US News & World Report rankings

Here's where Lancaster County colleges stand in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings.

Elizabethtown College:In a new ranking for best undergraduate teaching programs, Elizabethtown College is tied for six of 22. The college, which enrolled 1,902 for the 2024-25 school year charges a tuition of $37,250.

Franklin & Marshall College:

Millersville University:The university also tied at 19 of 22 in a new ranking for best undergraduate teaching programs in the North. MU, which is the county's largest post-secondary institution and only public university enrolling 7,009 students, charges $7,716 per year in tuition.

Colleges are ranked according to their performance across a set of "widely accepted indicators of excellence" including graduation and retention, social mobility and graduate indebtedness.
