: The Sierra Club-Lancaster Group invites the public to a free presentation on "Green Burial," at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Stone Independent School, 480 New Holland Ave. The speaker will be longtime funeral director William P. Spence, of Simple Funerals, Inc., Manheim. His presentation will cover a variety of green burial options that are available to people who wish to have interments that have little to no impact on the environment. : Grave Concern will host a public meeting and program at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Mennonite Life (formerly Lancaster County Mennonite Historical Society), 2215 Millstream Road. Open to the public. Title: "Saving and preserving the cemetery of Thaddeus Stevens, a true Lancaster treasure," presented by Ross Hetrick, president and founder of the Thaddeus Stevens Society.

MOCKTAIL AND MEANING: Mocktail and Meaning session will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Church of the Apostles UCC, 1850 Marietta Ave. Open to the public. BOARD MEETING: Brethren Village's annual open board meeting for 2024 will be held at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at 3001 Lititz Pike in the Wolfe Auditorium on Brethren Village's campus.

HISTORICAL SOCIETY: The Salisbury Township Historical Society meeting will at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Salisbury Township Building, 5581 Old Philadelphia Pike, Gap. Subject is "Correction and Injustice of Black Soldiers Valor," by presenter Stephen J. Shaw.

STORY TIME: The Quarryville Library, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, will celebrate history by hosting a story time at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 22. "A Long Time Ago Storytime" will feature music, movement and crafts for ages 2-6. Children ages 6-12 can stop by at 1:30 pm to play colonial games, make crafts and find out how kids had fun in days gone by. The final event of the day is an Author Faire from 4-6 p.m., showcasing local authors whose works include history and historical fiction. Registration is requested for all events.
