Lanes closures planned for I-690 to begin Monday, Nov.18

(WSYR-TV) — The New York State Department of Transportation wants to alert drivers of two planned lane closures along Interstate 690 beginning Monday, November 18.

I-690 West will be reduced to one lane between Exit 17 (Bridge Street) and Exit 15 (Milder Avenue), and on I-690 East, lanes will be reduced to one lane between Exits 16S-N-17 (Thompson Road/Bridge Street/ East Syracuse) and the on-ramp to I-481 North.

The NYSDOT said the closures will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Monday to Friday through Monday, November 25, and are necessary to facilitate bridge inspections.

During these lane closures, the NYSDOT wants to remind drivers to pay attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers when driving through the work zone area.

Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
