The Las Vegas Raiders have donated $25,000 to help fund the inaugural season of girls' flag football in the state.
The donation comes as Hawaii prepares to launch the first-ever high school girls' flag football season in the spring of 2025.
The state will become the 12th in the nation to officially sanction girls' flag football as a high school sport.

"This generous donation from the Las Vegas Raiders will play a crucial role in bringing this exciting new sport to high school girls across Hawaii," said Christopher Chun, executive director of the Hawaii High School Athletic Association. "We are thrilled to offer this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing the sport grow and thrive."
All public high schools in Hawaii will have the option to include girls' flag football as part of their athletic programs, giving young athletes the chance to showcase their skills in a new and exciting sport.
The Raiders, who have deep ties to Hawaii, have long supported local sports initiatives.
The donation is part of the team's ongoing efforts to promote youth sports and empower young women in the community.
