Last warm day, cold front arrives Wednesday

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Today is the last warm and dry day before a strong cold front passes through the Tampa Bay area Wednesday morning.

Temperatures warm into the mid-80s this afternoon with a few more clouds than yesterday. It stays dry and relatively comfortable with a stronger southerly breeze.

The cold front arrives late tonight, early Wednesday morning with a line of showers and thunderstorms. It will pass from north to south and the rain clears the area by mid-Wednesday afternoon.

The cooler and drier air will filter in Wednesday afternoon and settle in Thursday through the weekend.

High temperatures will be in the upper 60s and low temperatures will be in the upper 40s to mid-50s for several days. Abundant sunshine will stick around through the weekend.

The tropics have finally quieted down and no new development is expected in the next 7 days.
