Latest Harris vs. Trump poll shows one candidate ahead in a key battleground state

T.Davis20 min ago
Donald Trump is ahead of Kamala Harris in the battleground state of Arizona, according to a new poll.

The former president is up four points over the vice president, 50%-46%, per the right-leaning RMG Research for Napolitan News Service .

The same outfit has Trump ahead in other key states. Per Napolitan News Service, "Polling released last week showed Trump leading by four in North Carolina and by two in Florida . Other recent Napolitan News surveys have shown close races in Pennsylvania , Wisconsin , and Michigan . Trump has significant leads in Ohio and Montana ."

The latest poll out of Arizona, however, comes with some skepticism by some.

RMG Research was founded by Scott Rasmussen, whose polls were dropped from its polling averages by the poll aggregation and evaluation site 538 because its results have been more favorable for Republican candidates and issues for years.

Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg recently argued the reason for "red wave pollsters" having "stepped up their work."

Rosenberg writes : "The red wavers stepped up their activity this past week, releasing at least 20 polls across the battlegrounds. It's a sign that they are worried about the public polling in both the Presidential and the Senate, and have dramatically escalated their efforts to push the polling averages to the right and make the election look redder than it is. As in 2022, these polls usually between 2 and 4 points more Republican than the independent polling so when there a lot of them they can move the averages rightward."
