LB Baylon Spector is the next man up to start on defense for the Bills

As injuries continue to ravage the Buffalo Bills ' defense, head coach Sean McDermott is employing a next-man-up approach, and after linebacker Terrel Bernard suffered a pectoral injury early in the team's 31-10 win over the Miami Dolphins , linebacker Baylon Spector is the next man up.

Today's edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by hearing from Spector on how his preparation will serve him well as he gets ready for the first start of his young NFL career.

LB Baylon Spector next man up to start on defense A seventh-round pick out of Clemson in the 2022 NFL Draft , Spector will receive his first start when the Bills host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday Night Football. Spector, who has appeared in 17 career games, including both of Buffalo's wins this year, received the starting nod at linebacker over veteran Nicholas Morrow and will be responsible for communicating in the calls from defensive coordinator Bobby Babich to the rest of the defense. It's a challenge Spector is embracing.

Plus, McDermott has ruled out Bernard and cornerback Taron Johnson for the Jaguars game, which means there are opportunities for other defenders to step up and impress while Bernard and Johnson are sidelined.
