League City police looking for clues after woman found dead on FM 646
LEAGUE CITY, Texas — League City police are working to determine how a woman found dead on the side of a highway Thursday afternoon died.
A witness spotted the victim's body in a grassy area on FM 646 around 2:30 p.m., forcing police to shut down the highway while they investigated.
The road was closed between South Shore Boulevard and Tuscan Lakes Boulevard until just before 7 p.m.
LCPD believes she may have been struck by an eastbound vehicle sometime between Wednesday, Sept. 18, and Thursday, Sept. 19.
They are checking surveillance cameras and Flock license plate readers to try and confirm what happened.
The woman's identity hasn't been released but her family was notified.
