Lenox Just Launched a New Spice Village Rack—See How It's Different From the 1988 Version

In August, Lenox announced plans to bring back its iconic Spice Village, which initially launched in 1988 and was discontinued soon after. The collection of 24 porcelain spice jars had a resurgence earlier this year after social media users fell in love with their vintage charm and nostalgic feel.

If you pre-ordered the second-generation spice jars from Lenox, you're probably in need of way to display them. Luckily, a very chic solution will be available soon. On October 23, Lenox announced via Instagram it will be releasing the Lenox Village Spice Rack .

The new display rack is somewhat of a departure from Lenox's original design. The 1988 iteration featured a dark wood base with shelves, a pointed top, and a drawer at the bottom. The new shelf is painted white and has a curved top with a delicate painted vine motif that is meant to complement the designs on the individual spice jars. You can hang the shelf on the wall or stand it on a countertop.

The Spice Village Rack retails for $35 and will be available in spring 2025. It's made to hold the full 24-piece Spice Village set, which costs $285. Alternatively, you can buy each spice house piecemeal for $15 each (Lenox's original 1988 price).
