Letter: Gun pandemic

E.Wright44 min ago

In the last few weeks there have been 2 shooting incidents at a Donald Trump rally of property. The perpetrators in both situations were using high power AR 15rifles, developed for US.military be effective at killing a person. It is ironic that Trump and his right wing allies have continued to oppose any gun regulations. They refused to renew the ban on these military grade weapons. While the gun lobby will rant about these dangerous shootings which could have killed Trump, it is precisely these weapons that are posing the threat. Maybe now that the danger is "hitting" so close to home they will come to the conclusion these weapons do not belong in the hands of public gun owners. Or they may resort to the " guns don't kill people...." and promote more guns to protect themselves. We know how well that is working!
