Letter to the editor: Election inspector congratulates local efforts -- Frederick Butzen
I have had the honor of serving as an election inspector this year, and I wish to congratulate the city - in particular, Alyssa Padjen and Shannon Crolly - for their excellent work in organizing the Tuesday, Nov. 5, election.
My wife and I voted early and the flow of voters through the city offices was quite smooth and brisk. On Election Day itself, the polling station where I worked had nearly a thousand ballots cast, with many score of same-day registrations. Again, the flow was smooth and brisk, with the occasional marginal situation handled quickly and by the rules.
Observers could witness the entire process. Voters were, to a person, patient and courteous.
Regardless of how one views the outcome, the election itself was an event on which Kenosha did itself proud.
