LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington man is accused of pistol-whipping his neighbor.

John Nation is facing charges of assault, wanton endangerment and possessing a handgun as a convicted felon.

According to an arrest warrant, Nation and the victim began having issues after he had previously spoken to Nation's romantic partner.

Once that happened, police say Nation began to harass and threaten him any time he saw him.

Their issues came to a head on Oct. 9, when Nation confronted the victim with a gun.

Police say Nation shot toward the victim multiple times and eventually hit him in the head with the gun.

Nation is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
