Liberty Theatre, Hoffman Center get arts grant funding

The Oregon Arts Commission has announced the Liberty Theatre and Hoffman Center for the Arts are among 181 statewide recipients of grant funding issued through its operating support program.

Grants totaling more than $1.3 million were distributed to arts and culture organizations with budgets of over $150,000 across Oregon.

The Liberty Theatre in Astoria was awarded $10,710, while the Hoffman Center for the Arts in Manzanita received $3,823.

An additional 135 nonprofits with budgets under $150,000, including several on the North Coast, received $2,355 each through the arts commission's small operating grant program.

Clatsop County recipients are the Arts Council of Clatsop County, Astoria Arts and Movement Center, Astoria Visual Arts, Cascadia Concert Opera, North Coast Chorale, Partners for the PAC and Ten Fifteen Productions.

Operating support grants are marked for use in sustaining arts programming, such as music, film, live theater, visual arts and museum exhibits.
