Lincoln County deputies investigating after vehicle rolls into Lake Norman

LINCOLN COUNTY (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a vehicle rolled into Lake Norman early Sunday morning. Officials say it happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Beatty's Ford Access point of Lake Norman. A witness at the scene told officers that a vehicle pulled into the access parking lot near the docks before a male subject ran from the car as it rolled backward into the lake. The Sheriff's Office Dive Team was activated and responded to the scene. They checked the vehicle inside and out and could not find anyone else in the car. The vehicle, a 2019 Kia with California plates, was successfully pulled from the lake and placed into a holding lot.This is a Developing Story .
