Lions Week 12 injury designations: Jonah Jackson ruled OUT
B.Lee3 months ago
The Detroit Lions (8-2) have announced their Week 12 injury designations ahead of their Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Green Bay Packers (4-6). The Lions have been relatively healthy since returning from the bye week, and enter this game with just one player ruled out.Ruled OUT OL Jonah Jackson (wrist) Jackson has been unable to practice over the last two weeks due to a wrist injury suffered against the Chargers in Week 10. Last week, Jackson was replaced by rookie Colby Sorsdal at the starting left guard position, and expectations are that this will happen again against the Packers. Jackson will now have seven more days to recover before he takes the field for practice in Week 13. N/ANot listed with an injury designation C Frank Ragnow (toe) DT Isaiah Buggs (illness) S Ifeatu Melifonwu (hand) Ragnow toe will once again not be an issue for him this week as his weekly pain management routine has properly prepared him for game day. Currently, PFF’s second highest-graded center—behind only Eagles Jason Kelce—Ragnow has been dominant in 2023 despite a lingering toe issue. Buggs illness is still a bit of an unknown, but after missing Week 11, he was projected to have returned to practice in full this week. Still, illness’ can be tricky, as we saw with Khalil Dorsey early in the season, so despite this positive designation, it’s still possible he will miss this week’s game. Melifonwu has been practicing and playing with a club on his left hand for the past two weeks, and while it is likely an annoyance, he showed last week against the Bears that he can still do his job effectively.
