OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Here are the headlines we're bringing to you first on Thursday, Nov. 14:

Following the election results, some Omaha women say they are turning to tubal sterilization to prevent pregnancy. Nebraska voters rejected the abortion-rights initiative on the ballot and approved the initiative to put the current 12-week abortion ban into the state constitution. According to 6 News Reporter Bella Caracta, google searches in Nebraska for the phrase "tubes tied" spiked the day after the election.

Also following the election, Omaha's immigrant community is expressing concerns about Trump's plans. One of the largest refugee-led organizations in Nebraska, the International Council for Refugees and Immigrants , reports that several people are concerned about how immigration polices could be impacted. This comes with promises such as mass deportations and a closed border.
