Live updates: North Dakotans decide races, ballot measures on Election Day

Below find updates from Tuesday's general election voting, along with links to other Tribune election reporting.

There are three contested races for seats in the state Legislature in the Bismarck-Mandan area, eight statewide races, five statewide ballot measures, a race for seats on the Burleigh County Commission, an uncontested race for Morton County Commission, one contested local race for district judge in the South Central Judicial District, and local ballot measures in Bismarck and Morton County.

Polls open at 7 a.m.

Burleigh County has 18 polling sites and Morton County has 12. To find your polling site, go to: .

The polls in both counties are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Registration is not needed to vote in North Dakota. To vote, a valid form of photo identification is required. Valid forms of ID include a driver's license, a non-driver ID, a tribal ID, a tribal letter or a long-term care certificate. You must be 18 years old, a resident of North Dakota and a U.S. citizen to vote.

Bis-Man Transit is offering free rides for Capital Area Transit bus riders and paratransit riders on Election Day. The free rides will be offered for all hours of operation, and to all locations. For more information go to bismantransit.com .
