Live updates: Saban previews Iron Bowl, talks Alabama football on ‘Hey Coach’

Nick Saban is set to make his final regular-season appearance on ‘Hey Coach’ Thursday night, his weekly radio show on the Crimson Tide Sports Network. With Alabama football set for a rivalry matchup with Auburn this weekend, Saban will preview the Iron Bowl and talk Thanksgiving.

Saban, along with voice of UA Athletics Eli Gold and a media guest, will be live from Baumhower’s Victory Grille in Tuscaloosa. Here are the highlights from Saban’s appearance.

-WUVA 23 Sports Director Gary Harris is tonight’s media guest.

-”It’s a Wednesday car as long as it’s not raining,” Saban said of his Lamborghini driving habits.

-”When you’re actually in the football part of it, what’s the plan? What do I have to do to execute the plan? That’s the process of what you have to do. Then, what’s your sense of purpose?” Saban said of players focusing on the game this week while managing family expectations, Thanksgiving plans, and any residual rat poison.

-Saban said he and Miss Terry will likely have 15 players over for dinner tomorrow. Players had the option to go home if they lived close enough.
