Liverpool’s Andy Robertson injury concern played down by Arne Slot

Arne Slot played down concerns over Andy Robertson after the left-back was forced off in the closing stages of Liverpool 's 2-1 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers .

The Scotland captain was replaced by Joe Gomez in the 89th minute of the match at Molineux following a strong challenge from Carlos Forbs .

"I don't expect this to be a big problem, although you never know, but I think he just got a knock," Slot said.

"End phase of the game, maybe he was a bit tired as well because the guy who came in — Forbs, I knew him, of course, from the Dutch competition — he made it a real fight for him.

"He got a bit of a knock but I'm expecting him to be in training on Monday again. Let's wait and see."

Liverpool went top of the table after Mohamed Salah scored the winner from the penalty spot. Slot's side had to dig deep with Rayan Ait-Nouri cancelling out Ibrahima Konate 's first Premier League goal.

"They overloaded our right side which made it difficult for us in the first 20 minutes," Slot added.

"But then we took more and more control, and it wasn't a surprise when we scored because we had been getting better and better. In the second half we conceded a goal that was avoidable — let's put it that way.

"Everybody is realistic enough to know that six games into the season doesn't give you a realistic view of the league table. It's more at 19 games when you feel where you are. But of course good results help, especially after bringing in a new manager and a new staff. If we had lost four or five of the first six then life would have been different to how it is now."
