LANSING, MI - A Livingston County man who won a $100,000 prize in 2022 has hit the jackpot once again as he won another $100,000 prize in the Michigan Lottery's $300,000,000 Extraordinaire second chance game.

"I won a $100,000 prize playing the $300,000,000 Diamond Riches second chance game back in 2022, so when I saw the email that I had won $100,0000 playing the $300,000,000 Extraordinaire second chance game, I couldn't believe it happened again," said the 63-year-old winner who chose to remain anonymous. "Winning means my retirement fund just got bigger which will allow me to spend more time enjoying life."

The winner was selected randomly through a drawing where players earned entries by submitting losing $300,000,000 Extraordinaire tickets on the Michigan Lottery app. The winner says he plans on using the money for his retirement.

The last players from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot is the Breakfast Club lottery club which claimed a $842 million jackpot in June 2024. The members plan to use the money to buy a home in Florida and travel.

And while they were lucky winners, it's smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a Mega Millions winner worth $1 million sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed. The money instead went to the state's School Aid Fund.
