Local college basketball roundup: Radford women lose in OT
a. — Kyah Smith scored 26 points to lead the Navy women's basketball team to a 78-73 overtime win over Radford at The Greenbrier on Sunday.
It was the first women's basketball game to ever be held at the resort.
Kirah Dandridge of Radford (1-4) sank a 3-pointer with 23 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 59 and force overtime.
Radford's Taylor Napper scored to tie the game at 65 with 2:13 left in OT, but Navy (5-0) scored five straight points to take the lead for good.
Joi Williams had 19 points and four 3-pointers for the Highlanders. Makayla Firebaugh added 15 points.
UVa 76, La Salle 47
Kymora Johnson had 20 points and four 3-pointers to lead the host Cavaliers (3-1) past the Explorers (1-3) on Sunday.
Latasha Lattimore had 12 points and 12 rebounds for UVa.
No. 7 W&L 79, Oglethorpe 60
Mary Schleusner had 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks Sunday to lead the Generals (3-0) past the Stormy Petrels (2-2) in the Emory Tip-Off Classic in Atlanta.
Schleusner had 32 points and 21 rebounds to help W&L beat Emory 84-79 on Saturday.
No. 15 Gettysburg 91, Roanoke 69
Alayna Arnolie scored 15 points Sunday to lead Gettysburg (3-0) past the host Maroons (1-2) on the final day of the Jean Beamer Tip-Off Classic.
Paige Breuer tallied 21 points for Roanoke.
Ashley Fowler scored 23 points Saturday to help Roanoke beat Wilkes 82-36.
Denison 85, Ferrum 53
Abigail Westmeyer scored 17 points Sunday to lead Denison (3-1) past Ferrum (2-1) in the title game of Denison's Sara Lee Classic in Granville, Ohio.
Allyson Cassell tallied 21 points for Ferrum.
Aisha Martin had 21 points and five-3-pointers Saturday to help Ferrum beat LaRoche 63-56.
Hollins 73, Agnes Scott 42
Cabria Mutz and Grayson Alfano each scored 14 points Saturday to lead Hollins past the Scotties (0-2) on the final day of the Agnes Scott Tip-Off Classic in Decatur, Ga.
Hollins is 2-0 for the first time in 20 years.
SVU 55, Randolph 48
Ruth Kempler scored 18 points Saturday to lead the host Knights (2-1) past the WildCats (2-1).
Abigail Snyder tallied 15 points for SVU.

Alfredo Abel-Rivera had 20 points and 13 rebounds Sunday to lead the host Panthers (3-0) past the Battling Bishops (1-3).
Bryant Wall scored 22 points for Ferrum.
