A Twin Cities frozen yogurt, ice cream and gourmet popcorn shop will close its doors this weekend after a decade in business.

The owners of POP Culture Frozen Yogurt in Arden Hills have announced the shop's final day will be Sunday, Sept. 22.

The non-franchise business is owned by longtime Arden Hills residents Gary and Julie Gronquist.

"It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of POP Culture due to rising costs," they wrote in an announcement this week. "We have appreciated your support over the past 10 years and want to thank all of you."

POP Culture is known for its wide selection of treats, with over 70 toppings to pair with its ice cream and frozen yogurt selection. The business also sells over 20 flavors of gourmet popcorn, including dill pickle, grape and other unusual offerings.

"As a small, locally owned business, we have had so much joy in employing local youth and seeing all of you come in and enjoy our business with your friends and family," the closing announcement shares. "We would love for you to come in this last week for one last frozen yogurt, ice cream and popcorn with us."
