Longtime MCSO sergeant suddenly dies

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A sergeant from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has died.

According to MCSO, Christopher Scott Williams, 61, died on Nov. 15 after having served with the MCSO for 29 years. Williams recently served as sergeant at the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

"Chris is irreplaceable and our office is devastated by his sudden and unexpected passing," said the MCSO. "Our condolences are with Sgt. Williams' family, friends, and all those grieving this heartbreaking loss."

In his obituary , it is said Williams enjoyed doing many things outside of work including spending time with friends, family and animals. He also enjoyed fishing with friends.

From 3-5 p.m. on Dec. 7, a Celebration of Life will be held for Williams at 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek.
