Loose Lips Sink Ships: Nick Sirianni Slips Up And Accidentally Admits Jalen Hurts Has An Ankle Injury

I know it's unfair to compare Nick Sirianni to Bill Belichick. But moments like this are when you know that Nick Sirianni isn't even close to being in the same league as the greats. You're the head coach of the football team. That means you need to know every little thing that is going on with your team. You not only need to constantly know the situation, but you need to do your best to control the situation. So if Jalen Hurts has an ankle injury but the team is just labeling it as "rest", you'd think a guy like Nick Sirianni is the one who is making sure that messaging is getting out there.

But here's Nick Sirianni getting his pants pulled down by a reporter just 2 days before a game against Dallas.

In the grand scheme of things, it's probably not a big deal at all. For starters, I'm sure Jalen's ankle is perfectly fine and everything has just been precautionary. So it's not like he's giving any major secret away to Dallas before this game on Sunday. But Nick Sirianni should know that they're not letting that information out there. He either wasn't told that was the plan, which is probably worse case scenario in this situation because that means decisions are happening without him. Or he was told the plan and just not locked in enough to keep it from getting out. Which is just going to result in the team getting a fine or something like that.

Where I will give Sirianni credit, though, is his incredible acting skills trying to blow it off. "Sorry, I thought you were talking about something else". Just a classic "oh shit" type of response there. Like a kid who got caught stealing liquor from their parents or something. Just deny, deny, deny. It was rest. End of story.
