Loretta M. Cole, a resident of Harveys Lake, formerly of North Wilkes-Barre, died February 10, 2010, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Azeita Brennan Finn, and was a graduate of Coughlin High School, class of 1936. She had been employed in several area shoe and dress factories and, prior to her retirement, she and her late husband, John Cole Sr., had owned and operated the Leisure Tavern, North Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, and Leisure Tavern II, Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, for more than 20 years. Her and her husband were married more than 52 years, prior to his passing in 2005. She was a member of the Cross Creek Community Church, Shavertown,
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry J. Finn.
Surviving are her son, John Cole III, Harveys Lake, and his companion, Bonny Alexy, Wilkes-Barre; grandchildren Melissa Sindaco and her husband, Mark, Mountain Top, John Cole IV, Wilkes-Barre; brother Charles F. Finn, Wilkes-Barre, several nieces and nephews, including her special niece and buddy, Maureen McCabe, Harveys Lake.
Funeral was. Friday from the H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 451 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Dave Martin, pastor of Cross Creek Community Church, Shavertown, officiating
