Los Ocampo’s new St. Paul restaurant to open this month
Family-run Mexican restaurant Los Ocampo will open a new St. Paul location this month.
Details of the restaurant's grand opening haven't yet been revealed, but a social media contest hosted by Los Ocampo promises free dinner for two to anyone who correctly guesses the November opening date.
The final stretch of preparations comes over a year since Los Ocampo installed a "coming soon" sign in the window of the former Bark and the Bite space at 2186 Marshall Avenue.
Shipping delays related to renovations and equipment slowed the opening timeline, according to a Los Ocampo post on Instagram.
Founded in 2003, the restaurant is best known for its scratch-made masa cakes.
The new St. Paul location will be open daily beginning at 10 a.m., with a 10 p.m. closing Sunday through Thursday and a midnight closing on Friday and Saturday.
