Louisville snaps Omaha Storm Chasers' six-game winning streak

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville scored multiple runs in five innings as the Bats cruised Thursday to a 12-4 win over Omaha, snapping the Storm Chasers' six-game winning streak.

Omaha got solo home runs from Drew Waters, Tyler Gentry and Devin Mann, but the Chasers couldn't pace with the Bats. Omada finished with 13 hits, but it went 1 of 7 with runners in scoring position.

Louisville (65-81) didn't allow Omaha starter Dimelson Lamet to settle in as he allowed seven runs and 10 hits in 2.2 innings.

Omaha (88-57) and Louisville play again at 6:15 p.m. Friday.
