Booing the call wasn't enough for LSU fans . Several decided to throw debris. In Tiger Stadium on Saturday night, officials nullified a third-down sack by calling a facemask penalty on the Tigers. It kept the drive alive for Alabama football . Then some LSU fans started throwing things onto the field. "Fans, please do not throw debris onto the field," the Tiger Stadium public address announcer said as items flew toward the grass. "Do not throw debris onto the field." Boos rang out as the few items of debris hit the field. Items flew onto the field in both end zones. It left security staff having to clean up the items. Then a few minutes later, a pass was ruled incomplete to Kyren Lacy after a review. Then a few more fans threw some debris onto the field, but not as much as the first time. It somewhat mirrors what happened in Austin, Texas earlier in the season when Texas fans showed their disagreement with a call by throwing debris onto the field in the Georgia game. After deliberation, during which debris flew, officials overturned the call.
