Luke Littler may have revealed the first shoots of a new blossoming romance thanks to a clumsy microphone gaffe.

The 17-year-old darts sensation was live streaming himself in a video game boxing match against popular streamer 'angryginge13', called Morgan Burtwistle, when an unidentified female voice spoke down his microphone.

'I'm gonna try and get some sleep because I'm so tired,' said a female voice down Littler's microphone - and instantly Burtwistle pounced.

'Who the f*** is that? Who's that Luke? Who's that Luke? He's had a rotter there! Luke's had a rotter,' the streamer jibed as others broke out laughing.

Littler's initial response was a simple two-word burst which revealed his emotions: 'F***'s sake.'

'Let her get to bed, Luke, come on,' teased Burtwistle.

'Your chat is going mad,' said Littler. 'F*** off. If someone has screen recorded that, it's in the papers in the morning. Yep, well played. Why's the volume all the way up, you f***ing idiot?'

Despite his expletive-ridden rant, Littler's tone was good natured and he was not being aggressive.

It comes three months after the darts star split with ex-girlfriend Eloise Milburn, who was a constant presence at his big matches since he broke onto the scene with his run to the PDC World Championship final at the start of the year.

Littler, 17, and Milburn, 21, saw their romance grow over a 10-month period with the Warrington-born icon's rise to stardom thrusting both into the public eye.

The pair began dating just weeks before the start of the World Championship last December and only in May shared a holiday to New York together alongside other darts stars and Littler's parents, Lisa and Anthony.

This revelation about a potential new girlfriend follows a house move for 'The Nuke'.

The Mirror reports that Littler is leasing a £6,000-a-month five-bed house for himself and his parents. Their flashy property reportedly has a large garden and six bathrooms and appears to have a pool.

In a recent Instagram post his mother Lisa was sat down watching the darts on a large screen sat by an indoor pool while their dog, Nala, sat on a rug.

His dad, Anthony, also recently shared a photo of him watching Aston Villa against Manchester United on the super-sized screen, writing: 'Super Sunday and a dip.'
