Luzerne County Community College Schedules Open House

The Luzerne County Community College Continuing Education Office will have
an interactive open house Summer Sneak-a-Peek Session from 2 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday at the college’s Educational Conference Center. The event will
attempt to provide an in-depth look at the college’s credit-free career
programs, including the EKG technician, industrial maintenance technician,
interior designer, massage therapist, nurse aide, pharmacy technician,
phlebotomy technician, professional mixologist and bar manager and
professional truck driver programs. Participants will receive program
enrollment information, career-placement statistics and information on
upcoming course offerings. Interactive sessions will include complimentary
summer `mocktails’ from the mixology program made with non-alcoholic
beverages, mini-chair massages from the massage therapy program, a 2006 color
forecast and design ideas from the interior design program, sessions focusing
on safe sun exposure from the pharmacy technician program and 18-wheeler
demonstrations by the professional truck driving program. The free
