Lynchburg Water Resources working to repair water main break near Toledo Ave

LYNCHBURG, Va. ( WFXR ) – Lynchburg Water Resources is working to repair a water main break in the area of Toledo Avenue.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on Fort Ave until further notice as crews work to repair the water main break near Toledo Ave.

Drivers are asked to use an alternate route or to use caution if in the area.

Water has been shut off for nine homes between on Fort Avenue between Tolley's Lane and Lindsay Street.

If you experience air or discolored water, you should run cold water in their bathtubs for three to five minutes until the water clears.

Do not run hot water.
