Madison police investigating after person shot Downtown early Sunday

Madison police said they are investigating after a person was shot Downtown early Sunday morning.
At about 2 a.m., officers were sent to the 400 block of West Gilman Street on reports of shots fired, Sgt. Nicholas Eull said in a statement.
They found a person who had a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening. The person was taken to a local hospital.
Physical evidence was recovered at the crime scene and the investigation is continuing.
