The victim told officers he was approached by a man he did not recognize, so he tried to walk away. That's when he got punched, he said.

The suspect gave officers a description of the man, whom they found in an alleyway nearby.

The suspect, 42-year-old Matthew Moore, was found to have brass knuckles and a knife in his pocket. He reportedly admitted to officers that he confronted the victim and had only punched him after the victim shoved him while walking away.

Moore told officers he confronted the man because he heard rumors he was exposing himself to children, reports said.

The victim was treated at the scene before being transported to a hospital for further medical attention.

Moore faces charges for owning a prohibited weapon and using it to commit an assault. He is being held in Metro jail on a $12,500 bond.
