NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A 46-year-old Bridgeport man is facing criminal trespass and breach of peace charges after making an "obscene" radio broadcast, according to Connecticut State Police.

Luis Ortiz made the transmission on July 11, according to state police. He turned himself in on Thursday.

Ortiz, who is a former Connecticut Department of Transportation employee, allegedly made the broadcast from a vehicle parked at a CTDOT facility in New Haven. During the broadcast, he called specific employees racist, and while most of the transmission is redacted from a police report, profanity is implied.

Ortiz allegedly told police that he made the transmission and had problems with CTDOT management.
